Lakefront Vacation Resort

Fortitude Ranch Wisconsin used to be a lakefront resort. The bar, pool table, docks, and canoes remain — but it’s now a private recreational and survival community. Surrounded by forest full of deer, it’s a fantastic vacation spot. There’s a great lakefront restaurant just five minutes away — you can drive to it, or canoe to.

Abundant Water and Forest Natural Resources

This is fishing paradise — including ice fishing in the winter. The forests all around FR WI contain firewood and many types of food. In addition to deer, the cambium (inner bark) of pine and fir is an excellent food source that Native Americans used, and we will as well, mixed with flour ground from the wheat berries we store. The deer may get hunted out in a long collapse, but we will never stop fishing.

Remote Location and Reliable Defenses

Fortitude Ranch WI is in a remote area, far from the big cities. Located on a lake and peninsula, with very limited lines of approach. In addition to guard posts we will cut down trees to clear lines of fire (no cover for an attacking marauder group) and build defensive walls manned by our well armed members.

Huge Variety of Food Sources

Stockpiled food will not be enough for a long-duration collapse. We have natural food sources from edible tree cambium, deer, and fish. Our chickens provide ongoing protein to supplement the fish. We have stockpiled corn and potato seeds to plant in very fertile soil. The greenhouse lets us give seeds an early start. The growing season is plenty long to sustain a big harvest, with all members pitching in to garden and fish, as well as guard duty.
