Nevada

Mountain Desert Oasis

Fortitude Ranch Nevada is a desert oasis in one of the most remote locations in the U.S. This is fantastic for collapse survival—no marauder groups will be coming out here to try and survive. For thousands of years, humans have used the springs on this property for vital water and survival. With springs, ponds, trees, gardens, livestock, FR NV is not just beautiful, but the perfect survival facility.

Completely Off-Grid—All the Time

FR NV is so remote, there is no grid power. We run on solar power, with backup propane generators, all the time. Our staff runs multiple solar and power systems, and RV members have their own solar systems.

Fantastic Security

Another benefit of being surrounded by harsh desert that can’t sustain a marauder group is that there is no forest cover and concealment for them. We have trees, and concealment and guard posts—they are out in open desert and will be shot at long distance. At most FR locations we recommend 12 gauge shot guns or AR-15s for member defensive weapons—here its all long range shooting if bad guys ever approach.

Beautiful Mountains as Far as the Eye Can See

FR NV is surrounded by mountains. There is no city or even house in view of our oasis—just desert and mountains, all around. “The sunsets are particularly colorful as the light fades, the sky shifting rapidly from gold to amber to deep rose and violet — a beautiful display that changes by the minute.

Huge Variety of Food Sources

Stockpiled food may not be enough for a long duration collapse. Our chickens and cattle provide animal protein, and are sustainable in a collapse. We grow high calorie foods including potato and sunchoke, with a variety of other foods for good nutrition. The duckweed from our ponds, fed by springs always churning out fresh water, provides great fertilizer. Our 8-acre field and raised garden beds will be fully planted and tended by members — double-cropped through spring and fall for two productive harvests a year.

Friendly Community

Nevada members meet several times during the year, for weapons practice and training, and social events. A July 4 pig roast is one of many fun member events to build community and enjoy the good times.
