Centers for Disease Control just reported that H5N1 has mutated again, in a human—we may be close to human-to-human transmissible version of this 60% lethal virus and a Big Collapse.
Quoting from the recent Dec 26, 2024 CDC report:
• “CDC has sequenced the influenza viruses in specimens collected from the patient in Louisiana who was infected with, and became severely ill from HPAI A(H5N1) virus.”
• “The analysis identified low frequency mutations in the hemagglutinin gene of a sample sequenced from the patient, which were not found in virus sequences from poultry samples collected on the patient’s property, suggesting the changes emerged in the patient after infection.”
• “these changes may result in increased virus binding to α2-6 cell receptors found in the upper respiratory tract of humans.”
When the H5N1 virus (which should no longer be called “Bird Flu” because it is spreading in mammal populations around the world, and increasingly humans) mutates inside mammals they serve as “mixing vessels,” helping the virus adapt to human hosts—and become human to human transmissible. This is why biologists have been warning for over a decade that H5N1 is going to naturally mutate to become a deadly human transmissible virus, some biologists warning it could kill a billion people since the virus has historically been 60% lethal in humans.
Unfortunately, the CDC did not change its official rating of H5N1 as “low risk.” The CDC is controlled by elected officials who do not want people to panic and have faith that Big Government is taking care of them. As reported earlier in the Collapse Survival App’s preparedness news updates, the former CDC Director, not subject to the “don’t worry, trust your government to take care of you” constraints, has said just the opposite: we will have an H5N1 pandemic, and he suspects it will likely be from a bioengineered, deliberate bio attack. He also called for the CDC to cease it’s “gain of function” research that was successful a decade ago developing mammal-to-mammal transmissible versions of H5N1 (with the results and how to do it methodology published).

A highly lethal virus like H5N1 will cause people to stay home or flee to their bug out locations if preppers—no one will go to work. Law enforcement officers that do will likely catch the virus. The economy will shut down, food deliveries will end, and widespread looting and marauding will occur. Law and order will vanish, and we will face a collapse that may last for months, possibly beyond a year.
You should be prepared for a real pandemic or other collapse that can last for most of or more than a year—not just a few weeks.
