Recreational Activities

Fortitude Ranch locations feature outstanding recreational opportunities for the whole family. At all locations:

  • Campfires, hiking, and biking
  • TV, DVDs, electronics in lodge
  • Lessons on survival skills, farming, and ranching
  • Hunting and shooting

Special activities vary by site. In Colorado, enjoy rock climbing, mountain bike trails, and nearby sites like the Royal Gorge, National Forests, and Great Sand Dunes National Park. In West Virginia, enjoy hunting, State Parks, National Forests, and ski areas. Fishing, swimming and boating at FR Wisconsin, high mountain desert at FR Nevada, fishing and hunting at FR Texas

Shooting Activities

There are firing ranges at all Fortitude Ranch locations. Members can store weapons securely at our site, leaving them there for recreational or survival use. Avoid serious troubles of trying to transport weapons by shipping them to us or bringing them by car while on vacation.

Accommodation Features:

Fortitude Ranch members will have food, shelter, safety, essentials, some comforts, and lots of outdoor activities.
Beautiful log lodge (Community Center in event of collapse) for resort-like lodging, off-site planning conferences, guests, etc.

♦ Shallow underground shelters and log buildings, community center, gardens inside and fields and forest outside compound walls (put up during collapse)

♦ Private member rooms in Spartan, Economy and Luxury styles to fit your budget

♦ Stockpiled food, hunting, gardening, chickens, other food sources to sustain members for at least a year

♦ Recreational features vary by location, including frisbee golf, horseshoes, walking and riding trails, swimming and boating, cross country skiing, and other activities

♦ Small medical clinic in Community Center, Doctors in membership

♦ Stockpiled protective masks and gloves

♦ Quarantine facilities and procedures; ability to keep groups separated as needed

♦ Wells and backup water supplies
